Mushroom Goddess Needle Felting Workshop with Courtney Heffernan

Join us over Zoom for an evening of needle felting magic with Courtney from “Naughty Courty’s Creations”.

During this workshop you will create your very own ‘Mushroom Goddess’ using only needles and wool to bring her into reality. 

You will learn some basic needle felting techniques to create your little soft sculpture.

Needle felting is the process of transforming wool into a 3D shape by using a barbed needle. 

Through this process you are agitating the fibres so they bond together, creating a solid form.

The perfect craft to inspire your creative flow and reconnect you with your imagination. 

Needle felting is a relaxing craft to learn and Courtney has personally found it to be great in relieving stress and anxiety.

No experience is needed for this workshop and all materials are included with the ticket price.

Artist Bio 

Courtney Heffernan is an emerging Newcastle based artist predominantly working with and developing her own unique take on felted and upcycled materials. 

Courtney has completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in fibres and textiles, her love for textiles and sculpting materials has led her to start her own business “Naughty Courty’s Creations”. 

Courtney draws her inspiration from the organic forms found in nature, and is driven to create unique, sustainable and ecofriendly felted clothing and accessories.
